Join Paul and Rita Keber for a hike on a section of the Ice Age Trail starting at Evergreen Shelter in Lapham Peak State Forest and heading up to the tower and beyond toward Hwy 18.

On the climb to the tower you’ll be hiking over two new boardwalks and 3,500 feet of new trail constructed by the Ice Age Trail Alliance Mobile Skills crew and lots of volunteers on August 20-23.

We’ll hike for a couple of hours and may even cover sections of the ski trail on the way back to Evergreen. The hike will begin at 10:00 am from the Evergreen Shelter parking lot.

Lapham Peak State Park is less than one mile south of I-94 on County C (first exit after Hwy 83). A state park sticker is required. After our hike is over we will go to a local restaurant for lunch.
