Join us for an evening of lovely music outdoors at Ravinia on Saturday, July 29. The Chicago Symphony will perform two pieces by Dvorak. New update: guest artist is world-renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman, who will perform a "cinema serenade." The weather is predicted to be perfect!

Meet at the I-94 College Avenue SOUTHWEST park and ride lot at 2:30pm. We'll carpool to downtown Highland Park, Illinois, which is holding its annual sidewalk sale. We will take the free shuttle bus to Ravinia. Buy your $10 ($8 if over age 65) lawn seat ticket (or a $25 pavilion ticket if available) there. Gates open at 4pm, and the performance starts at 7pm. July 29 is also the annual Ravinia Gala, so this is a prime opportunity to people watch.

You may bring in food and drink (including alcohol) or purchase items at Ravinia. You may also want to bring food to share with our group, a lawn chair (or rent one there), side table, blanket, candles for ambiance…whatever you'd like. It's okay to take all these things on the shuttle. Please call Cindy at (414) 336-8695 to let her know you are coming.
