Enjoy some great skiing at ABR (Active Backwoods Retreats) Trails) from January 26th to the 28th. The bus leaves Friday morning at 8 am. The trails are in great shape with lots of snow and more coming every day!

On Friday, if there is enough snow we will ski at Nine Mile Forest near Wausau. Nine Mile Forest, which is the home of the Badger State Winter Games, has about 30 km of trails, groomed for striding and skating, and suitable for all abilities. There is a nice chalet with ski rentals. Otherwise we will ski at Minocqua Winter Park with 90 km of trails as well as 11 km of snowshoe trails. They have a nice chalet serving food including homemade soups, and they have a topnotch ski shop that rents skis and snowshoes.
We plan to ski both Saturday and Sunday at ABR on 75 km of scenic trails that are family owned and meticulously groomed. There also are 10 km of snowshoe trails. The chalet has a ski shop, and ski and snowshoe rentals. Hot pasty or homemade lunches will likely be available on Saturday. ABR Trails has both skating and striding trails for all skiing abilities. Both Nine Mile Forest and ABR Trails have extensive networks of designated snowshoe trails.
Cost Includes: Motor coach transportation, trail fees, and two nights accommodations at the Americinn in Ironwood with swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, free continental breakfast, and microwave and refrigerator in each room. Restaurants are within walking distance. An optional Saturday group dinner will be offered.
