Due to temperatures soaring to the 40s on Sunday, Feb. 2, we’re cancelling the Nordic Ski Club of Milwaukee’s cross-country ski outing at the Nordic Trail. Instead, we’ll hike around the Domes and then head indoors for flowers,  trains and monsters.

Meet us at 1 p.m. at Milwaukee County’s Mitchell Park Conservatory, known as the Domes, 524 S. Layton Blvd., Milwaukee.  Attack of the Giant Monsters Train Show is featured in the Show Dome. Spoofs of classic movie monsters will be attacking a silly set of cities connected by model trains. There'll be carnivorous plants, an "eyeball" plant, and hidden surprises.  Also enjoy the desert and tropical domes.
