Third Ward Gallery Night - Friday, July 25: Experience an evening of fine art at Gallery Night in Milwaukee 's Historic Third Ward. Meet at The Eisner American Museum of Advertising and Design, 208 N. Water Street, which is at the northeast corner of Water and Chicago streets in downtown Milwaukee . Park for free in the parking structure at 225 E. Chicago Street on the southeast corner of the same intersection. We'll leave at 6:30 pm from the museum's front entrance to stroll to nearby galleries and enjoy art, wine, and appetizers. Call Joe Neidinger at (262) 786-8539 with any questions.

BoDeans at Ravinia - Saturday, August 9: We've been hearing the BoDeans everywhere lately, including on Café Tonight and A Prairie Home Companion. On a beautiful Saturday night, hear the BoDeans outdoors at Ravinia Music Festival in Ravinia , Illinois . We'll meet at 2:30 pm in the southwest College Avenue Park and Ride Lot (at I-94) to carpool to Waukegan and catch the Metra train to Ravinia. Round trip train fare is $5 cash, paid on the train. Bring your own food and beverages (candelabras optional) or purchase at Ravinia. Also bring lawn chairs (or rent there) and blankets, too. This concert may sell out; so hurry and order your own lawn seat ticket online or by phone for $15 (note corrected amount) plus a handling charge. Or, take a chance and buy a ticket at the gate. Exploring Cuisines - Tuesday, August 19: Let's dine outdoors with live music! Meet in Café La Scala at the Italian Community Center, 631 E. Chicago Street in downtown Milwaukee , at 6:30 pm. Parking is available in the ICC lots to the south. The food choices range from individual pizzas to sandwiches, salads, and pasta entrees, with prices from $7.95 to $14.95. Music is by the popular band, “Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets.” If the weather is iffy, everything moves indoors. Reservations are a must!
