Let's hike part of the Waterville segment of the Ice Age Trail. This segment is an out and back hike for a little over 4 miles. The trail consists of a variety of terrain including multiple boardwalks that have been recently constructed. There is a nice view from an exposed section of Niagara Escarpment dolomite bedrock on the trail. The hike will begin at 10:30 am at the intersection of Waterville Road and Manor House Rd. After returning back to our parked cars, an additional option will be to drive a short way to the Wildlife in Need Center and then hike the recently constructed north part of the trail along Waterville Road for about 1 mile before returning the same way.
Directions: From Milwaukee, take I-94 west to Cty C (exit 285) and go south 2.8 mi. Turn right on Hwy 18 and go west 2.0 mi. At Waterville Rd. turn left and go south 1.8 mi. Turn right on Manor House Rd. and then turn around and park on the south side of the road close to Waterville Rd. where the hike will begin. Call Paul Keber at (H)262-547-4827 or (C)262-309-1918 with any questions.
