Are you an occasional biker? Have you ever wanted to just ride your bicycle a short distance, have fun and not try to keep up with others that bike weekly, or daily? Or, are you someone that does do distance biking, but also likes to have fun? Then this ride is for all of you.
Enjoy a carefree bike ride to the Cedarburg Wine and Harvest Festival, and thus avoid the hassle of finding a place to park your car. We will bike from the Mequon City Hall parking lot (11333 N Cedarburg Rd, Mequon, WI 53092) at 10:00 am and pedal approximately five miles on the Ozaukee Interurban Trail. Once into Cedarburg, we will lock our bikes at either the village provided bicycle stanchions on the south side of the Community Center, or less than a block away near the corner of Turner and Hanover.
Come bike, eat, enjoy live music and be merry with your friends new and old while you experience live music, people watch and cheer on individuals attempting to paddle their giant, hollowed-out pumpkins on Cedar Creek Mill Pond; the race is quick, so find a spot in time to view the 2:00 pm regatta start.
Contact Carol at tortoiseski@wi.rr.com to tell her you will be joining the fun!
