Please join us at the Retzer Nature Center for a possible hike at 5PM and bring your own picnic followed by a 6:30PM meeting in the lobby before the show. Details below.
Depending on the weather and trail conditions, interested people could meet for a hike before the show. We could wait until April 22nd to decide. If it’s really nice we could bring our own simple and quick picnic supper to eat afterward. Meet at 5:00 pm for the hike.
6:30 pm meet in the lobby for a brief meeting preceding the show. We will then go into the planetarium for:
DYNAMIC EARTH
This is a high-resolution full-dome production, narrated by actor Liam Neeson. The show explores the inner workings of Earth’s climate system. With visualizations based on satellite monitoring data and advanced supercomputer simulations, this cutting-edge production follows a trail of energy that flows from the Sun into the interlocking systems that shape our climate: the atmosphere, oceans, and the biosphere. Audiences will ride along on swirling ocean and wind currents, dive into the heart of a monster hurricane, come face-to-face with sharks and gigantic whales and fly into roiling volcanoes.
Included with the featured planetarium show is a 15 to 30 minute live star talk.
*Our costs will be covered by the club. Non-members will pay the $5.00 entry fee.
Contact Renee on the 22nd if you are interested in hiking (just show up if only doing the "movie"). Text her and include your name. 262-391-2361.
